A stand-out trend at Milan fashion week 2014 was of course blue. And while it may not have been blue as a boy blue, we certainly saw a great variety. Shades from periwinkle blue to cobalt to good-old navy were shown. The latter was Corneliani who delivered their semi-casual looks paired with knits. Calvin Klein saw Zucchelli sticking to a similar formula this year with emphasis on paneling in his futuristic salute to summer. He really covered all the blues you could hope for in a collection. However it was Z Zegna that captured my favorite blue tone of the moment and delivered it in exceptional style, that green undertone is wonderful. Emporio Armani and Trussardi both get nods from me on this one too, the former of which unveiled another full, perhaps less flashy palette of blue tones that were no less exquisite.
