Some trends stick around for a few seasons, like sports luxe which was likely at its height in 2012. Calvin Klein took a subtle and certainly more luxurious approach to the trend, while John Richmond went quite literal with mesh, player numbers and the kind-of-but-not-really reinvention of the raglan, with patterned sleeves. Dries Van Noten took a wonderful approach to sports luxe with elegant ballet elements (inspired by Rudolf Nureyev, which you can catch more details to come).
