There is something special in capturing beauty in the aftermath of something ugly, or in the case of so many accidents traumatic and horrible. In this up-close study of cars in their written-off state, artist Nicolai Howalt does in fact find beauty. In fact the majority of Howalt’s work explores the less-than-perfect and he does so with a keen and talented eye.
