A few years ago I was working as a visual merchandiser and often took my ‘work’ home with me and tried to design my closet space. My shirts were meticulously colour coded and perfectly ironed and hanging in the right direction. Even my jeans were coded from dark to light. I still do this but I have accumulated so many clothes that it’s often too much work to be so pedantic, and honestly I’m just not as crazed as I once was.
During one of my many Pinterest marathons I stumbled on a closet that is enviable in more ways than one. In fact, I mistook it for a store because it was so well styled. This is a perfect example of the ideal mens closet. A room just to hang clothes in means the rest of your house must look pretty fantastic too (this one does). The house belongs to Michael and Jonathan of 47 Park Avenue, a Yorkshire based blog.
The above images were pulled from Door Sixteen, which is another fantastic decor blog for you to head over to after you’re done here. They were able to get the before and after shots, so excuse the re-use of Anna’s images. The room contains a few favorites, metro-tiles and fig tree ficus to name just two. Some would call this excessive but I appreciate that these gents made a beautiful room that contains their beautiful and expensive clothes. Gosh, my best shoes are in a shoe box!
